Proof of identity
You may need to provide proof of your identity when opening an account with us. Review our table of acceptable forms of Proof of Identity and Residence to ensure a smooth application process.
Individuals must provide
One ID document from List A and one ID document from List B
One of the documents must be proof of address.
Non-EU Nationals
Non-EU citizens are required to provide a copy of a valid passport in instances whereby electronic identification is not achieved. On a risk-based approach, they may be requested to provide evidence of 鈥渋ndefinite leave to remain鈥� in the UK.
- The name and address detailed on the ID must be the same as the name address provided during application
- Bank statements and utility bills must demonstrate an active balance in order to be accepted
- The same document cannot be used to prove both identity and address, nor can the applicant use two documents from the same organisation
- If the applicant has recently changed their name since the ID document was issued (E.g. Marriage), relevant supporting documentation must accompany the ID (E.g. Marriage Certificate) and must show a link between the old and new name
