RG505 vs Retroid Pocket 3 Plus?
Anbernic posted a new RG505 optimization testing video on YouTube and seem to confirm in the text that it's still releasing this year.
The RG505 should be a strong competitor vs. the Retroid Pocket 3 Plus (both using the same SoC). Between the two devices, my money (betting) is on the Anbernic RG505 when it comes to build quality, ability to meet demand fast, face button quality, d-pad quality, longer battery life (5000 mAh confirmed), the hall sensor thumb-sticks, and the slightly bigger OLED screen (Although the RP3+ screen is higher resolution). These are still guesses with no hands on time.
Where the Retroid Pocket 3 Plus at least on paper can beat the RG505 is with cooler looking shells, Play Store access, bezel aesthetic, more software support, stacked shoulders, longer battery life and likely a lower price. I don't see Anbernic dropping the RG505 device anywhere near $149 but they could surprise us...
As far as we know, the RG505 has a 3500 mAh battery compared to the 4500 mAh battery on the Retroid Pocket 3 Plus. Perhaps this will change at some point...
The Retroid Pocket 3 Plus can be pre- ordered at GoRetroid.com. The RG505 will debut at some point in the near future on Anbernic.com.
