Exclusive Preview: Miracleman #0

Image
Exclusive Preview: Miracleman #0 Forty years ago, Alan Moore and artist Garry Leach revitalized Marvelman, the character we now know as Miracleman. In 2023, Miracleman is primed for a big year at Marvel, but it actually starts next week with Miracleman #0 . The upcoming one-shot will feature a preview from Neil Gaiman and artist Mark Buckingham’s Miracleman: The Silver Age #1, the continuation of the storyline they started nearly four decades ago. It also gives several Marvel creators a chance to leave their mark on the character. Ryan Stegman wrote and drew a short story, while Mike Carey and artist Paul Davidson teamed up for another tale. Peach Momoko contributes her own short, while Jason Aaron and artist Leinil Francis Yu bring Miracleman face-to-face with his creator. In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for  Miracleman #0 , we have a selection from several of the shorts in the one-shot. However, it may seem disjointed since these pages aren’t meant to appear in t

Hyenas could have real potential if it wasn't knee-deep in metacringe

Image
Even after seeing a 20-minute preview, I'm a little confused about what Hyenas is trying to be. It feels so far removed from Creative Assembly's prior catalogue, but here's what I do know: it's a PvPvE looter shooter that's a little too desperate for you to know how quirky and self-aware it is. It's colourful and bombastic but also so deeply, deeply cringe. Earth has gone to shit, the billionaires have pissed off to Mars and left the little people to fend for themselves on…The Taint. Status doesn't appear to come from wealth in Hyenas, but rather from owning piles of pop culture tat. Inevitably the preview is packed with some not-so-subtle winks and nudges for Sega's library and even some non-blue blur outings like Fall Guys.  These bits of tat are mostly knocking about on giant spacecrafts called plunderships, which you (as a Hyena) and your two teammates will be infiltrating in order to secure these sought-after items. Nabbing loot and gai

Cyrusher XF800 Fat Tire Mountain electric bike review – A heavyweight mountain e-bike to tackle all terrain, even if it’s just around the neighborhood

I rode it everywhere in the small town where I grew up, but it’s been decades since … Cyrusher XF800 Fat Tire Mountain electric bike review – A heavyweight mountain e-bike to tackle all terrain, even if it’s just around the neighborhood Read More * This article was originally published here

The Destiny 2 streamer who found the best use for Stadia is now hunting for a replacement for when it closes

Image
Google Stadia is dead . Well, dying in January. While it always struggled to get off the ground, it had a dedicated fanbase and people who found some incredibly clever uses for it. Destiny 2 players will be familiar with Lucky "Luckstruck9" Lai, also known as 'The Checkpoint Guy'.  He's been making use of 11 Stadia accounts to share checkpoints with fellow raiders, cutting out the more mundane parts of loot grinding. It's something our own Destiny Guy Tim Clark has made good use of. But with the disappearance of Stadia, it casts an uncertain future for The Checkpoint Guy and reliant raiders. Thankfully, it seems as though Lai is already hard at work hunting for new methods. He tweeted that everything will still be good until Stadia's closure on January 18, and is "looking for new substitutes" in the meantime. "GeForce now looks promising, but there are still limits on session length thus making it not the most feasible option,&

Today's Wordle Is Another Average Puzzle

Mario fan recreates Rainbow Road in Fortnite Creative

Image
Here at Pocket Tactics, we love a fan-made in-game creation. From doodles in the lockers of Splatoon across the screen of your Nintendo Switch, to painstakingly crafted Minecraft worlds made to look like Bikini Bottom, we’ve seen a few in our time, but not quite as many as inspired as this Fortnite Creative imagining of Mario ’s much-loved intergalactic highway. Based on the GBA version of the classic Mario Kart track, the Reddit Rainbow Road Fortnite Creative recreation is truly something to behold, full of all the vibrant colours and chaotic corners that you might remember from playing the handheld racer in your youth. Complete with a starscape sky glittering with fireworks, it’s little surprise that most of the comments on the original Reddit post are requesting a code to find the map. Even more impressive than the attention to detail in the course itself is the version of Peach’s palace in the centre of the map, with no discernible difference from the famous castle fro

Intel has fixed 'the majority of the software stack issues' for its gaming GPUs says CEO Gelsinger

Image
Intel is only weeks away from the launch of its Arc A770 graphics card , which promises to be its first graphics card with an eye to deliver decent performance in games. Specifically, the Arc A770 is said to compete with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 in both frames per second and on price. However, it's not been an easy road to release for Intel's first generation Alchemist GPUs: the company has faced delays, difficulty with drivers, and even questions of its continued interest in graphics. That step up from integrated to discrete was more difficult than we expected. Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO But nobody said it would be easy. Intel has largely batted away any concerns over a waning interest in graphics, and from those I've spoken to at the company, it sounds like Intel is in it for the long haul. That includes the opinion of Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, who I recently had a moment to ask about Intel's discrete graphics venture. "Obviously we ca

The First Descendant Interview – Monetization, Playable Characters, Combat, and More

Image
T here’s no shortage of loot-driven RPG shooters on the market, but in spite of that saturation, Nexon’s The First Descendant,  which was originally revealed as  Project Magnum,  has looked promising since the moment it was first unveiled. Promising a setting rich in story and lore, cutting edge visuals, a thrilling blend of third person shooter combat and deep progression mechanics, and plenty of co-op and solo offerings, the upcoming free-to-play title certainly seems to have its sights set high. Overwatch 2 – 15 New Details You Need To Know

Image
T here’s no shortage of big releases in October, and it all kicks off early with the launch of Overwatch 2 . Available October 4th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, the hero shooter is very similar to the original in terms of the core gameplay. However, a lot has changed as well – here are 15 things you need to know before playing. Free-to-Play Early Access Instead of releasing at a fixed retail price, Overwatch 2 will be free-to-play. That means most of the content, barring the more premium cosmetics, will be free for all players, from new maps and modes to new heroes (provided you grind enough). The “early access” tag means that the game will be updated over time with even more content. It also means… No PvE (at Launch) When Overwatch 2 was first announced at BlizzCon 2019, it was with a cinematic trailer that showcased the new story. There was extensive footage of PvE, particularly four-player co-op, and mention of different abilities, Hero Mi

Square makes Tap to Pay on iPhone available to all US sellers

Image
Square has publicly launched its Tap to Pay solution for the iPhone after running an early access program these past few months. That means sellers across the US can now use the company's Point of Sale app to receive payments from customers using just their iPhones anywhere they are. Sure, they need to have a newer iPhone — the oldest model that can run the feature is the iPhone 11 — but they don't need to buy additional hardware to access the feature. Like with any other point-of-sale system, sellers only have to ring up the sale on Square's app and then have the customer pay using contactless credit and debit cards or Apple Pay and other digital wallets. Square is hoping that the solution could provide even small merchants an easy way to conduct in-person business. In its announcement, the company also addressed a potential security concern and said that Apple doesn't store card numbers on the sellers' device or on its servers. Square first announce

Elizabeth Olsen Wants Wanda To Find Redemption In the MCU

Image
Elizabeth Olsen Wants Wanda To Find Redemption In the MCU For the moment,  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  marks the end of Wanda Maximoff’s story in the MCU. But only for now. No one really believes that Elizabeth Olsen’s signature character is gone forever, especially after she became the Scarlet Witch in  WandaVision . During a recent interview with Variety , Olsen noted that she isn’t sure what the future holds for Wanda. But she knows what she wants to see. “I don’t think any of these characters are ever really gone,” said Olsen before adding that she wants Wanda to move “toward some sort of redemption… I really don’t know my future. There’s nothing that has been agreed on.” However, Olsen is fairly certain that her WandaVision co-star, Paul Bettany, “would play the Vision for 45 years. Nothing will ever stop Paul — he’d come back as a ghost if they needed him to. He loves it so much!” RELATED:  Elizabeth Olsen Describes Her Story Input on Doctor Strange
