Classic MARVEL VALUE STAMPS to Be Re-Released as a Page-A-Day Calendar
A novel way to get your hands on the ’70s collectibles…
For nearly three years we’ve been writing about Abrams ComicArts’ much-delayed Marvel Value Stamps: A Visual History, by Roy Thomas, and noted recently that it’s now set for a March release.
But now comes this bit of fascinating news: Abrams will also be releasing the Marvel Value Stamps 2024 Day-to-Day Calendar, which will reprint each of the stamps from the 1970s.

A few thoughts:
— The calendar is due Aug. 29, 2023. It lists for $17.99. (The book is due March 28.)
— The box art has not been released so I used that groovy Hulk stamp as a placeholder.
— Obligatory Price Comparison: Naturally, the calendar isn’t like a comic-book Facsimile Edition but it’s worth noting that a mid-to-low-grade Series B stamp book, complete with all stamps, recently sold on eBay for $875 (the one above, in fact). Of course, a bunch of comics were damaged to make that happen, but hey, fun’s fun.
