MARVEL Celebrates Silver and Bronze Ages With New Retro STICKER BOOK

A collection of images that date back to the dawn of the Marvel Age…

I like stickers. Do you like stickers? I think we all like stickers.

Marvel likes stickers. Three years ago, the publisher teamed with frequent partner Abrams ComicArts to release the Marvel Classic Sticker Book, which reprinted the classic 1960s and 1970s stickers originally produced by Philadelphia Chewing Gum and Topps, respectively.

That collection is still available — but now Marvel is planning a new release that’s not a set of reprints but a collection of Silver and Bronze Age images that bring to mind, on a smaller scale, the 1970s Marvel and DC offerings from Our Way Studios.

Dig the official description of The Marvel Sticker Anthology from an Amazon listing, as well as sample pages:

Adorn your personal items with more than a thousand stickers, create gorgeous artwork and stationery, and enjoy this exquisite anniversary antiquarian book as a celebratory Marvel Comics keepsake.

A few thoughts:

The Marvel Sticker Anthology is a collaboration between the House of Ideas and DK. The 192-page hardcover lists for $27.99 and is due July 11, 2023.

— As great as this looks — and it does look great — I am still crossing my fingers that DK or Abrams or Insight Editions will re-release those classic — and scarce — Superhero Stick-Ons produced by Our Way Studios:

— At the very least, I’d settle for DC versions of both of these books, featuring classic images instead of the modern versions of our heroes and villains. (DC did in 2021 produce a sticker puzzle book, with old-school comics covers.)
