The New PS VR2 Coming Soon

VR technology is widely considered a revolutionary tool for gamers, offering new and unique ways of playing and experiencing video games. PlayStation VR 2 is the new virtual reality headset developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, designed to work with the PlayStation 5 gaming console, and will be launching on February 22, 2023.

The next-generation headset comes as a successor to the popular PlayStation VR system built for PS4 and features 4K resolution at 2,000 x 2040 per eye, all set upon an OLED HDR panel at refresh rates of 90Hz or 120Hz providing a smooth and immersive gaming experience.

Players will continue to immerse themselves in lifelike digital environments, interact with objects and characters in the virtual world, and feel a much more reliable experience.  PlayStation VR 2 sense technology will bring emotion and immersion to life through headset vibrations, 3D audio and intelligent eye tracking, finger touch detection, and more realistic responses to the in-game actions.

Original PlayStation VR games are not compatible with PS VR2 but, over 20 games are in development for PS VR2.

PlayStation VR 2 will cost $549.99 in the US. For this price, you get the headset, a set of VR 2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones. Pre-order directly from PlayStation’s online store before PlayStation VR2 launches on February 22.
