Who’s coming to a Roblox game under the sea? Spongebob Squarepants!

It’s time to drop on the deck and flop like a fish to welcome the newest Roblox crossover - this time, a partnership between Gamefam and Nickelodeon (by way of Paramount). Two beloved childhood franchises are being brought into the metaverse this year.

Spongebob Squarepants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are set to get standalone experiences in Roblox, due to launch this year. While we don’t know much yet, we assume that the experiences will be something akin to Sonic Speed Simulator. The game sees the classic characters remade in a Roblox world, in a setting and game type that make sense.

We’re sure to see nautical nonsense featuring Spongebob and friends, perhaps working a day in the Krusty Krab or frolicking in Jellyfish Fields with Patrick at the weekend. Honestly, we’re excited about this one!
