Yggdrasil – The Origin has lots of heroes with more than 100 legendary heroes from different factions and classes. What’s even more interesting here is that they are not differentiated according to their grade, so the book of Jesus explores all the heroes. To get it, you can recruit from Tavern in City. Then when you get a new hero, we recommend viewing the overview of the hero, because you will get 100 diamonds.

In this game, before starting the challenge, you will be asked to first organize your team which contains the heroes that you have. You can deploy 6 heroes with various factions or classes. Here you can only use 1 formation, there are 2 in front, 2 in the middle which are above and below, and then 2 more behind.

Yggdrasil: The Origin Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

Here are some of our tips in the Yggdrasil: The Origin Beginners Guide to help you newbies kickstart your journey.

1. Upgrading your Hero

To increase combat power both in terms of heroes and your team, upgrading heroes is very important, especially in making it easier in every challenge. There are many ways you can improve your hero, one of which is by upgrading the hero level. To upgrade you need Gold Coins and Hero EXP which you can easily get through the Tower of Secrets in the Adventure section.

When the level of your hero has reached multiples of 20, such as 20, 40, 60, and so on. Then you have to make a breakthrough that requires Gold Coins and Hero EXP as well, plus Life Essence which can also be obtained through the Tower of Secrets. When you make this breakthrough, besides increasing in terms of attributes, you also get new skills that can be unlocked.

Apart from that, you can also improve in terms of stars on your hero, but for this, you need some Hero Fragments which you can get through Recruit, but it will be random to get them. Even so, when you can improve this star, the increase in your combat power will be much more significant.

2. Understand the Faction’s Weak rules

Every RPG genre game or one that has certain elements or factions, usually has its own weaknesses, just like Yggdrasil: The Origin. In this case, there is The Empires faction which has a weakness with The Forgotten, The Forgotten has a weakness with Dryad, Dryad has a weakness with Scavenger, and Scavenger has a weakness with The Empires.

Then there are the two factions that have no weaknesses and no advantages when fighting the 4 factions mentioned above, namely the Celestial and Underworld factions which each have weaknesses with each other.

When you fight an enemy faction with its weaknesses, you will receive +15% damage. This is very useful when your combat power loses to the enemy’s combat power, so you can do this method. However, there is one faction that is considered overpowered in this game, namely the Immortal Visitor.

3. Faction hero bonus

In this game, there are several additional bonuses such as ATK, HP, DEF, Mana recovery, and other effects that you can get by deploying certain factions, as we will explain below.

Same Faction Heroes Bonus (excluding Celestials and Underworld):

  • Deploy 2 Heroes of the same faction, gain ATK and HP +5%
  • Deploy 3 Heroes of the same faction, gain ATK and HP +10%
  • Deploy 4 Heroes of the same faction, gain ATK and HP +15%
  • Deploy 5 Heroes of the same faction, gain ATK and HP +20%

Heroes Celestial and Underworld bonuses:

  • Deploy 1 or more gain DEF 10%
  • Deploy 2 or more gain DMG Mana Recovery +10%
  • Deploy 3 or more gain Crit Chance +5%
  • Deploy 4 or more gain Accuracy +10%
  • Deploy 5 or more gain ATK Speed +10%
4. Managing your Team

One of the keys to victory in each challenge is to manage your team. There are many things you can consider when managing your team, the first is position. The formation in this game is only 2-2-2, so position a hero with a tank class or defensive type at the forefront to receive attacks so that your allies are safe from enemy attacks.

Besides that in the middle can place a hero who can attack enemies flexibly because these heroes are up and down. Then for the last 2, you can place heroes with typical support and heroes with the greatest damage on the team, so they are safe from enemy attacks and don’t die easily.

Besides that you need to consider the faction of the enemy, you can see the enemy’s position in the upper right, then position or face-on-face your hero with the enemy’s weaknesses. Then don’t forget to take advantage of the Faction Hero Bonus to get additional effects or attributes. Also activate the specs that exist in your hero types, such as Strength, Agility, and Intelligence type. This is very useful because it can create special effects that you can’t get anywhere else.

Final Thoughts

Yggdrasil is a game that is quite complex because there are many factions, classes, and types where that are all mutually sustainable. So you need to understand it so you can get certain effects and make it easier for you to do challenges.
